Conan's parents were turned to stone by the cruel tyrant Rath-Amon. The Cimmerian vowed that he would not draw his sword until they were once again men. During his wanderings, Conan encounters Nidlom, a phoenix fledgling, as well as Zula, who commands animals, Greyvulf, Snegg, Falkner, and Justmin. Together they wage a hard struggle against Rath-Amon.
