Tokyo, 1988. Haruka turns to the renowned writer and paranormal researcher Yasuo Odadzima. At night she hears strange noises in the apartment, and she even manages to record onto a cassette the mysterious patter of tiny feet. Unable to bear it any longer, Haruka moves in with her boyfriend, who later confesses to Yasuo that he can see ghosts. Recently he chose a place for them to live with Haruka and visited a haunted house, after which he was haunted by the ghost of a woman in white. Meanwhile, two friends invite the new classmate to sneak into a nearby abandoned house after school. Over the years, the lives of several people will become tragically linked to the cursed house, the location of which Yasuo Odadzima is trying to determine.
