Every child should have a friend. A real one, not some kind of domestic pet. The best friend could be a wonderful robot, able to move, speak, and, most importantly, connected to the Internet, and helping its owner post on social networks and learn about all the latest trends, stay in touch with classmates, and be aware of events. Such robots are among all schoolchildren, except the shy Barney, who because of this feels like an outsider among his peers—until he receives on his birthday the long-awaited gift. But a robot named Ron turned out to be defective, and his young owner decides to teach him everything he knows himself.
