March 1979. Private detective Alice Gould infiltrates a psychiatric clinic under the guise of a patient to uncover for her client the circumstances surrounding his son's death, who had been kept in this institution. During the investigation, she realizes that the patients clearly know something about what happened, and the staff have something to hide.
