After her father's death, fifteen-year-old Rene lives with her mother and her mother's new partner, who drinks and treats the girl badly. Rene loves nature and spends a lot of time outdoors, exploring the world around her. One day she finds in the desert an alien who has crash-landed on Earth and begins to befriend him.
