Sol, a kind young woman with a good character, lives in the Vila Isabel neighborhood in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. Sol is very poor, and in such a situation she does everything she can to survive. Sol does not want to be very rich; she only wants to have a normal income, her own small house, and a little peace. She wants to achieve all of this through work, because she never wants to be a useless person or be dependent on a husband. It is for this reason that she plans to move to the United States. She believes that in the United States people have far more opportunities than in Brazil. Since childhood she has heard stories about people who lived there, earned well, and helped their relatives. The problem is that she is not granted a tourist visa to the United States. Then she decides to immigrate to America illegally.
