Action takes place in the fictional town of Dillon, Texas. Dillon High School is known for its strong football players and solid fan support. The series begins with a new coach, Eric Taylor, arriving at the school, who immediately finds himself under a lot of pressure, often faced with a choice between what is right and what will lead to victory. His wife, Tami, who also works at the school, often serves as the voice of his conscience. This series is about friendship and loyalty, dreams and failures, love and perseverance.
