Not long ago, Alvaro Vieira Branko held the position of Minister of Public Works and wielded significant influence in the country’s political life. An anonymous request submitted to the law enforcement authorities to examine the official’s conduct marks the start of a long judicial process. Branko is suspected of corruption, tax evasion, and, in addition, influence peddling. During the course of the investigation, Alvaro is placed under house arrest. Locked in his own luxurious mansion, Branko must devise a brilliant strategy to return life to what it was. Perhaps he could preserve his influence in politics if he wore a special bracelet that records every movement? And perhaps he could still satisfy the financial needs of his mother, wife, children, and mistress if his accounts are frozen?
