Lili Pak is an energetic, curious 11-year-old girl who lives in a cozy house with her parents and grandmother. Her half-brother, 13-year-old Jack Wilde, is used to constant moves with his mother, who works as a documentary filmmaker. When Jack moves in with Lily for the summer, he will have to learn to get along, help with the family business of caring for animals, and find a common language despite the differences between American and Korean cultures.
