A small curious fish Ponyo, the daughter of a sorcerer and a beautiful sea goddess, slips away from home to observe human life. Ponyo gets stuck in a jar and is washed ashore. She is picked up by a five-year-old Sosuke. The two become attached to each other, and now Ponyo has only one wish: to become human.
