“Desire” is the name of a small town where there are not only healing thermal springs, but also a swamp that, for some reason, scares the locals. In every small town there are its own passions, secrets, and mysteries. The secrets of the town of Desire are wrapped up with the thermal springs and the hotel, owned by Dalmiro Bernal and his wife Mercedes. A quarter of a century ago, 18-year-old Mercedes learned that she was pregnant. Intending to get rid of the baby, the girl, together with her parents, leaves for Buenos Aires. In the capital she decides to give birth and place the child up for adoption. Her parents, fearing that Mercedes will become attached to the baby and will not be able to part with it, tell the new mother that her child has died. In reality the baby girl, who would be named Carmen, was born perfectly healthy. It so happens that 25-year-old Carmen, who has become an actress, arrives in the town of Desire. Also in the town appears Javier, who wants to settle his affairs and leave the town. But Desire holds them back. Both stay here, and their lives change forever. Life in the town also changes.
