An orphanage graduate Sam, more than anything in the world, wants luck to smile on her friend, the little Hazel, so the girl will finally have a family. Sam herself isn't particularly lucky, but one day she feeds a stray cat, finds a lucky coin, and from that moment luck begins to accompany her in literally everything. Deciding to give the coin to Hazel, the girl accidentally flushes it down the toilet, and when she again encounters that cat, she realizes that this is an unusual animal. Trying to wheedle a new coin from the cat, Sam begins to chase it and ends up in the magical Land of Luck.
