Year 1857. The crew of a Danish ship stranded in the northern ice rescues a wounded man who resembles a humanoid monster that cannot be killed. He tells the captain his story: his name is Victor Frankenstein, the son of a famous physician, and since childhood he had harbored the idea of reviving dead flesh. He gained the opportunity to conduct all kinds of experiments in this field when the uncle of the fiancée of Victor's younger brother offered him unlimited funding.
