Former homicide detective Roy Freeman is undergoing an experimental treatment for Alzheimer's disease. Moreover, Roy has complete memory loss, and he doesn't remember anything from his past. One day a human rights advocate asks him to meet with Isaac Samuel, the man convicted of murder and awaiting the death penalty, a case Roy had worked on with his partner ten years ago. Isaac convinces Roy of his own innocence and asks him to find the real killer. There is little time, because in a few days the death sentence will be carried out.
