The Radli-Helen family, Peter and their teenage children Clara and Rowan, live a quiet life outside a small town. One day, a classmate attacks Clara, and, in defending herself, she kills him and drinks his blood. It turns out that the parents had hidden that their family are vampires, but for many years they have managed to refrain from drinking blood. To get rid of the body, their uncle is called in to help, about whom the children did not know either—the twin of their father, far from sobriety, and eager to share his life philosophy.
