A young and attractive writer Emma Becker leads a rather monotonous life and is bored in a hopeless relationship with a married man. In search of inspiration for a new novel, she, unexpectedly to herself, decides on an experiment—she takes a job at a brothel. Immersed in the nocturnal world, Emma not only studies it, but also tries to understand the boundaries of what is permissible, not realizing into what dangerous adventure she has become entangled.
