Former criminals and would-be heroes working separately for Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, the head of the CIA, carry out her orders. Valentina sends Elena Belova, John Walker, Ava Starr, and Antonia Dreykov to cover up the traces of illegal experiments on superhumans. One day, Valentina sends them all to a secret facility with the aim of preventing the theft of secret data. The four operatives meet and realize that they have been ordered to kill each other, because they are the last witnesses to Valentina's crimes.
