A group of tourists sets off on a cruise through Louisiana's lakes. Wanting to see wildlife in their natural habitat, they stray from the route and encounter an aggressive and very fast hippopotamus weighing four tons. The boat is broken, there is no help coming from anywhere, and the journey becomes a fight for survival.
