This ramshackle detective Qin Feng and his overly clever relative Tang Ren are sent to Tokyo, where their Japanese colleague Noda Hiroshi has invited them. The friends undertake the investigation of the mysterious death of a Thai crime lord, a murder for which a local Yakuza boss is accused—though there is nothing to pin on him, he insists that he is not guilty. Qin Feng immediately sees many oddities and inconsistencies in this case, which the trio will have to unravel, competing against a persistent rival-detective, Jack Ja.
