The series follows Jim Longvorte, a detective from Chicago. After being wrongly accused of an affair with the captain's wife, he moved to a small town in Florida, where golf and sunshine abound, and crime, it seemed, was kept to a minimum. However, life in the town is not as idyllic as it first appeared.
