An airplane full of corpses makes an emergency landing at an airport in New York. To determine the circumstances of their deaths, scientists are brought aboard, led by the city's leading epidemiologist, Efraim Gudvezer. During the investigation, it becomes clear that the passengers are infected with a vampirism virus that threatens to evolve into a massive epidemic capable of wiping out all humanity.
