In a poor New York neighborhood, passions are running high. Orphan Ezekiel writes hip-hop about his unrequited love for a classmate who is a singer, who wants to become a star, and endures beatings from a religious father. And the father wants to attract as many people as possible to his Sunday prayers. The God of Prayer is ignored—guns and cocaine are everywhere, right before the mayoral elections. Pistols do not deter young talents: for the sake of glory, the youth are ready to go to any lengths.
