Set in the city of Morkam on the shore of the eponymous bay, Detective Lisa Armstrong is tasked with investigating the disappearances of people. At first, Lisa sees it as just another tragic case. She knows she shouldn’t become emotionally involved in other people’s tragedies; she should only offer support and gather information that will be useful for the search. But it turns out she herself has a personal connection to the victim’s family, and the investigation could put her life at risk.
