Set during the era of the Western Wei state, when innocent citizens were kidnapped and turned into slaves. A slave named Chu Qiao ends up in a forest with the other slaves and becomes the target of noble lords. The girl is saved by Yan Xun, the prince of Western Wei, and as a result Chu Qiao enters the powerful Yu Wen family and becomes a witness to the unfolding power struggle, while also learning martial arts.
