Rudy Baylor, who has just graduated from law school, heads off to his first day at a prestigious law firm with his girlfriend and fellow student Sarah. Rudy is late for his first meeting, and as a result he gets fired. An inexperienced lawyer takes a job at a small law practice run by Joslyn Stone. Now Rudy is to handle a medical malpractice case against Leo F. Drummond, the head of the firm who fired him.
