Chhe In-hwan and Cha San-du. They met when they were still children. By the age of 17, their friendship had grown into a pure and bright feeling of youthful love. One day In-hwan's family is forced to flee their hometown because of debts. Before fleeing, creditors take away all their possessions, including the old phonograph, the only memory of their father. Trying to get it back, San-du accidentally kills a man, after which he is sent to prison. After his release, his life changes drastically. The circumstances unfold such that he is left alone with a daughter who is terminally ill, and in order to pay for the treatment, he has to become a gigolo. And so, ten years later, fate brings him together again with In-hwan.
