The screenwriters, a husband-and-wife team named Shoni Beverly Lincoln, receive an enticing offer to make an American version of their successful British series. Full of hope for a new, happy life under the scorching sun of Los Angeles, they have no idea yet what the Hollywood machine has in store for them as it sets out to create a TV show.
