England, long beset by civil war, has finally entered an era of peace. It was achieved thanks to the marriage of Elizabeth of York, the heiress to the throne from the House of York, and King Henry VII, heir to the House of Lancaster. But the country and Elizabeth's married life will face new upheavals: her husband is avaricious and suspicious, and in the north a man suddenly appears, claiming to be the queen's brother.
