Alfi is a 23-year-old man who is arguably the worst teacher in the UK's education system, while he himself is more of a child than his students. Despite his obvious incompetence, Alfi's position at the school is stable thanks to Fraser, the headteacher, who is doing his best to be as cool as Alfi. He simply wants to be everyone's 'best friend', therefore takes an interest in all staff problems. At the school, there is also Ms. Gulliver, a biology teacher who likes Alfi. She cares a lot about the school and the students. Deputy headteacher Pickwell is less amiable. She is an old-school teacher and doesn't understand her younger colleagues. She is a strict pedant who wants to bring creationism back into the school curriculum and would rather see the school without students altogether!
