Rebecca Owens, a graduate of a medical university, takes a night-shift job at the morgue in River Fields as a pathologist's assistant. On her very first shift, she autopsies a demon in the morgue who tries to possess her soul. To survive the night, she will have to uncover the grisly secrets of her enigmatic mentor, overcome her own fears, and go through all the circles of hell.
