Former Marine Jake Sully is confined to a wheelchair. Despite his frail body, Jake still remains a warrior at heart. He is assigned to undertake a journey of several light-years to a human base on the planet Pandora, where the corporation mines a rare mineral that is of enormous significance for helping Earth escape its energy crisis.
