Morgan and her sixteen-year-old daughter Klara want more than anything to be unlike each other. The mother fears that the daughter will repeat her youthful mistakes. The daughter, however, free-spirited and stubborn, goes her own way. As a result of a personal tragedy, their world falls apart, and in search of consolation the mother grows closer to an old friend, while Klara becomes acquainted with a local heartthrob and a hooligan.
