Ted Lasso, the Kansas college football team's coach, is an irrepressible optimist, a universal favorite and a YouTube star. A new owner of a shabby English football club decides to use him in her schemes and offers Ted the position of head coach, hoping that he will wreck the club. There's nothing foolish about this sport, and Ted begins his new duties with the enthusiasm that is entirely his own.
