In a small town of Wausau, Wisconsin, an unexplained event occurs: the recently deceased are coming back to life. The revived look and behave as they did in life, yet they gain the ability to heal rapidly. A few weeks later, the U.S. CDC quarantines the town and compiles a registry of all revived people. A local police officer, a lone-wolf named Dana Cypress, investigates a murder, and even her own family becomes involved in the case.
