In the Menendez family, a double murder takes place: Jose and Mary are killed. The primary suspects are their children, Erik and Lyle. The young men fall under intense pressure from investigators, who are trying to understand what really happened on the day of the murder. The Menendez brothers give inconsistent testimonies, behave extremely strangely, and also offer their own versions of who could have committed this terrible crime. The public follows the case, and the media speculate. Leslie Abramson defends the brothers. The attorney realizes that the case is becoming more and more complicated.
