London, the sixties. Harry Starks - a dangerous East End gangster and, by trade, the owner of a nightclub. Starks loves money, male escorts, and... Judy Garland. In the finest traditions of the Kray twins, he is prone not only to bursts of madness, violence, or depression, but also to homosexuality. His tendency to employ methods of the Spanish Inquisition led to the nickname 'The Boss of Torturers' given to him by the British press. Starks moves in the world of minor celebrities, fundraisers, boxing, show business, gambling houses, and charity... all for the sake of his own reputation in society. The narrative consists of four stories of people who lived, loved, and suffered in the company of the charismatic and charming gangster from the East End, the Boss of Torturers - Harry Starks.
