A once-popular television star, Sam, has left a rehabilitation clinic and is trying to restart her career. To prepare for a potentially blockbuster role, she signs on as an assistant to private detective Eddie. And although he initially regards his new subordinate skeptically, it turns out that Sam's acting skills are extremely useful in such a profession.
