The series gives us a chance to glimpse the absurdity and horror behind the scenes of reality TV. On the set of the fictional show Everlasting, the TV version of the real show The Bachelor, contestants, in an attempt to eliminate rivals, offer sex. A young woman is effectively held hostage on the set, while a family tragedy unfolds at her home, and African American women are told that they will stay on the show only if they conform to racist stereotypes.
