In the 1990s, while pursuing a serial killer, police officer Yan Guanyao loses consciousness and unexpectedly travels through time to the year 2018. Finding himself in the future, he joins the police under his former chief, who, through an investigation, recognises the employee who had disappeared without a trace 25 years ago. Together they set out to crack a series of murders whose origins go back to a distant past.
