Jester, a masked evil magician with supernatural powers, hunts solitary victims on Halloween night. Each encounter begins with innocent tricks and ends in bloodshed. Sitting alone in a diner, 15-year-old Max, an aspiring magician, becomes the new target. Jester quietly sits down at the table with the girl and offers to show her a card trick, but Max reveals Jester's scheme and demonstrates her own trick. Jester leaves her unharmed, but they meet again soon.
