Legendary 'supercop' from Shanghai, Sammo Lo, arrives in Los Angeles and joins the police. He is pursuing a Chinese mobster named Li Hei. In Los Angeles he meets his future partners, Dana Doyle and Lewis MacGray. It's not that Sammo immediately wins them over.
